'state of knowinglessness'

It was one of the days in my ordinary life when i started thinking about ego and how its different from self respect? and many days passed, i kept thinking for a satisfying answer that laughably i ignored for thirty years. i never realized, in actual terms, about what ego was? consciously and unconsciously, many days of my life passed in the 'state of knowinglessness' until i got of the first clue to the myth.

Ego maybe the simplest three lettered word yet complex for me. As a Muslim child i always read Quran, its verses for my defense regarding any subject unfortunately without real understanding. somehow, i was just beating around the bush and decoding the guiding information incorrectly and hastily. but then to my luck, the initial understanding of ego came from Osho, a non-Muslim spiritual guru (i hope no one holds me for my beliefs especially 'the Maulvi Sahib'). Osho presented the understanding of the Quranic verses, in his own philosphy, very simply. He spoke for me and explained me nothing new that I haven't read in Quran (i only didn't understand!). And i got my kick start.

ego, if you know it, is the most diffcult to recognize at the same time it's easiest to defeat. how? because it only requires recognition and then the battle begins. So the trick is to simply recognize it.  But on the contrary if you are unknown to the odds of ego you may ask whats wrong with ego or being egoist at all? why do one has to get rid of? so on and so forth. but my friends, the answer to this innocent question is as complex as ego itself.

Ego is like spider's web that entices your soul, it lures your spirit until you are a pray to it. picture ego as a vulture who eats and nourishes itself on one's soul and spirit. we all know that everything has a center, an epicenter; universe, solar system, earth, cells, electrons, nucleus, matter, everything. Similarly, our body also has an epicenter and that is our soul. the soul is an intangible being thus, hidden from the human eye or an MRI. soul is made up of some sort of energy still unknown to many including yours truly. but i know that soul has some connection with, the intangible, something which is beyond laws of physics or biology. lets take a closer look to understand the dynamics and beingness of soul. if we observe the nature we'll see that everything is protected by some sort of covering e.g. fruits, vegetables, trees, etc. in the very same way, the soul has been protected in our physical body, that belongs to this physical earth, that is visible to the human eye.

All the holy scriptures revealed on mankind including Quran, Bible, Torah and Tanakh contained the word of truth by God Almighty that the body is made up of dust and water. for this very reason all the God made religions bury their dead ultimately making the body eternal part of this earth from which it was created.
